Why do I need to seal my stone?

If you use the wrong cleaning products, you can cause serious damage to your floor surface. Natural stone needs a Non Acidic Stone Cleaner. Over-the-counter cleaners employ one of three cleaning formula acidic, solvent or surfactant. Acidic based cleaners are extremely damaging to natural stone as they react with the primary ingredient in natural stone which causes micro pitting on the surface eliminating the flat reflective surface making your surface look dull and grey. Over time they also dissolve pigment and dyes in both the natural stone & grout. We use professional cleaners to maintain and restore natural stone, it is a PH neutral stone cleaner formulated to not only clean stone and grout but also glass and metal. This allows you to clean all surface in the kitchen and bathroom without introducing an acidic cleaner that can dull or damage your surfaces.

What if I have spots or rings on my marble?

Spots and rings that keep coming back in spite of our efforts to clean them are likely not dirt, but etches. Etches occur when acid dissolves the stone itself, effectively disrupting to the stone's ability to reflect light cleanly.
